Award Nomination for Trinity Hospital

A T.G. Sowerby Developments Project has been nominated in three separate categories for a prestigious construction award.

Following the successful completion of the Extensions to Trinity Hospital in Retford, the project is now a finalist at the LABC East Midlands Building Excellence Awards.

The project involved the construction of ‘The Daryl Room’ a new Common Room for the use of Trinity Hospital’s Brethren. The project has been shortlisted in three separate categories:

  • ·         Best Public Service Building
  • ·         Best Small Commercial Building
  • ·         Best Inclusive Building
  •

Steve Lyon, Site Manager of the Project and a Director of T.G. Sowerby Developments, said, “This is the first time we have entered the East Midland Region’s LABC Awards, so to be shortlisted for three categories is an absolute delight. This was a unique project in many ways, an attractive and successful blend of traditional and modern approaches to construction. I have no doubt our project will face strong and worthy competition at the awards, however I believe The Daryl Room will be a strong contender.

The winners will be announced at the Awards Night in June in Leicester. The winning project from each category then goes on to the LABC National Grand Finals in November.
