LABC Awards 2017 (The Story So Far)

T.G. Sowerby Developments came away from the 2017 South Yorkshire and Humber LABC Building Excellence Awards as Finalists in their category.

For the third consecutive year, a T.G. Sowerby Developments/Ongo Homes Housing Development was a Finalist in the "Best Social or Affordable Housing Project" Category at the South Yorkshire and Humber LABC Awards.

T.G. Sowerby Developments' Directors, Steve Sowerby (Managing Director) and Chris Sowerby (Site Manager) were joined for the awards evening at the Forest Pines Hotel (just a stone's throw away from the development itself!) by Ongo Homes' Martin Phillips, Pete Stones, Georgie McGuire and Sue Revell, BSB Architecture's John Hunter and Jon Mason and dba Management's David Bishop and Gaynor McCarthy-Smith.

This year's nominated project was the Ermine Grove Development, thirteen bungalows built in Broughton in 2015/16, following on from a similar development at Haxey which was a 2016 awards finalist.

Director, Chris Sowerby, said, "As always, it was good to represent quality North Lincolnshire Construction at the LABC Awards, and to be recognised as one of the premier construction firms in our region. Everyone knew the Ermine Grove Project was built to an exceedingly high standard and all of the tenants who moved in have been delighted, however it's nice to have this sort of recognition of a job well done."

The South Yorkshire and Humber Awards mark the first of two nominations for T.G. Sowerby Developments this year. In June, Steve Sowerby and Steve Lyon, along with their guests will be going along to the East Midlands' LABC Awards, where the project at Cormuir has been shortlisted in the "Best Extension or Alteration to an Existing Home" Category.
