T.G. Sowerby Developments are celebrating a deserved win at the 2018 South Yorkshire and Humber LABC Awards Event.
T.G. Sowerby Developments Limited, Ongo Homes, BSB Architecture and dba Management had put forward the 20 House Development of ‘Parkwood Avenue’ on Scunthorpe’s Westcliff Estate for consideration in the Best Social/Affordable New Housing Project category and saw off worthy contenders from across South Yorkshire and the Humber to emerge triumphant.
Steve Sowerby, Managing Director, said, “We were delighted to win this year’s LABC building excellence award for Best Social/Affordable New Housing Project in the region, for the houses we built off Bridgewater Road in Scunthorpe last year. Working in partnership with Ongo Homes again, this scheme delivered 20 first-class and much-needed new homes on the Westcliff estate ahead of the main regeneration now taking place in that part of Scunthorpe. It was a real team effort, and that has been recognised by this award.”
The project, part of Ongo’s wider Westcliff Regeneration Project which is currently seeing TG Sowerby Developments constructing a further 41 Houses, will now go forward for consideration at the National Grand Final, which will be held in November.
