T.G. Sowerby Developments are celebrating after reaching the Grand Finals of the 2016 LABC Awards
The New Daryl Room Extension at Trinity Hospital in Retford was extremely well received at the LABC’s East Midlands Regional Awards, held at the Leicester Athena, winning ‘Best Small Commercial Building’ as well as being a finalist in the ‘Best Inclusive Building’ and ‘Best Public Service Building’ Categories.
As a result of its win at the Regional Awards, the Project went through to the ‘Grand Final’ at the LABC Awards, which were held at London’s Westminster Park Plaza and hosted by DIYSOS’s Nick Knowles on November 28th.
TG Sowerby Developments’ Directors Steve Sowerby and Steve Lyon accompanied Trinity Hospital’s Bailiff Bob Rabagliati and Trustee Canon John Patrick to the awards, where the project finished commendably as a finalist in its category.
Steve Lyon said, “We are extremely pleased that the project did as well as it did, reaching the National Finals of the LABC Awards is simply phenomenal and I could scarcely be prouder. This was a very special and unique project and one that we are very proud to have delivered. The fact that it was chosen to represent the entire East Midland’s Region speaks to the high standard of build, finish and overall quality that we put into it, as we do with all our projects. We are extremely grateful to the entire project team who we worked with to make the project the success it was. Particular thanks go to Bob and everyone at Trinity Hospital for giving us the opportunity to work on such a singular and exceedingly prestigious project and making us feel so welcome whilst we did so.
